Here are some QUESTIONS we get ALOT
Do you include raw footage?
Yes, all customers who hire us to shoot will recieve their raw footage at no additional cost.

Are there any travel costs?
Ninja Monkey is currently based in Los Angeles California and will not charge a travel fee within 150 miles of our location.

Traveling to other areas in California is possible, and would be on a case by case basis. If we have to drive farther than 4 hours, a hotel room should be provided.

We are from Florida and Frank frequently occasionally there for weddings, but must now charge a travel fee to cover his expenses. This fee is usually $350, depending on the time of year and flight costs. Traveling to other locations is possible and would be on a case by case basis.

What type of camera equipment do you use?
Currently we are using Panasonic GH-4 cameras recording in 4K resolution at 24 frames per second. Our most common lens choices are veydra cinema prime lenses or sigma arts series lenses.

We use steadicams, gimbals, sliders, jibs, fluid head tripods and more to capture the perfect shot.

All our equipment is small and lightweight, to allow us to capture amazing shots without getting in the way of the wedding day.

Do you record the vows/ are you recording high quality audio?
For all ceremonies, the groom and officiant are miced up using wireless lavalier microphones. They are small and placed on their jacket's lapel (the type you see people wearing on television).

We also record the output feed from all microphones, along with backups on all our cameras. This allows us to capture great audio in any ceremony situation.

For the reception we record the output from the DJ, this allows us to capture great audio 99% of the time. There are rare circumstances where DJ's are not setup correctly for us to record, because of that we always place a backup recorder near a main speaker to capture what the guests are hearing. This is a less than ideal option, so you might want to check that your DJ has the proper equipment.

How many people will be coming?
Our goal is to stay out of the way during the wedding day, and allow you to enjoy it. When you book 1 ninja, sometimes we may bring another as an assistant Ninja, depending on the wedding.

When you book 2 Ninja's, expect 2-3.

Do I need a second videographer?
2 ninjas are always better than 1! While main events can be captured with just 1 videographer, more camera operators means more footage captured during the wedding day.
That means if the photographer blocks our camera during the kiss to get their perfect shot, or if overly excited guests accidentally knock down a camera, we have other uninterrupted shots.
As a single videographer, you have to be very careful how you spend your time on a wedding day, having additional shooters opens up possibilities that may need to be sacrificed due to time.

Do I need to provide vendor meals?
We never make vendor meals mandatory, but they are always appreciated.

How long do I need you there for?
This question really depends on your schedule and what is most important for you to capture.

For a 4 hour wedding shoot, we usually begin at the ceremony and stay until after the cake cutting. This usually allows us to capture speeches, introductions, formal dances, and a bit of the party.

6 hour shoots allow us to capture a bit of the preceremony or more of the reception, depending on your needs.

An 8 hour shoot, should cover your entire wedding day from preceremony till the end of the reception. This would depend on your receptions length, as some weddings may have a grand exit planned for later in the night. In this case you can choose to add hours before or after the wedding.

At the end of our shooting time, your ninja will check in with the bride and groom and say bye. At this time you can elect to have him stay a bit longer, on an hour by hour basis.

What is included in the price?
As we strive to always deliver world class images, equipment costs is a major factor in our pricing. This would include cameras, lenses, support gear, audio, and computers capable of processing 4K imagery. Taxes and any applicable fees are included as well as any shipping costs for your final copies.

Do you have packages?
We have a build your own package approach, only pay for what you want and don't get stuck with a bunch of options you can't understand.

Our Ninjas can help you decide on the perfect options.

How long will editing take?
All videos are edited in under 30 days, allowing you to sample your video online instantly.

Do you allow notes on editing?
We are open to any notes you may have on your video and will address them. This is your wedding video and we want to make it as perfect as possible.

How do payments work?
Our payments are in 3 stages. 20% is due to reserve your date, 50% is due the day of your wedding and the remaining 30% is due 30 days after when you receive your samples.

Our payment system is through paypal invoicing. About 2-3 weeks before your payment due date, we will send you an invoice to your email. This will allow you to pay online with or without a paypal account.

When you recieve this invoice, you can also elect to send your payment through other methods. We currently accept check, venmo, cash app, and square.

What is a Love Story?

What is the difference between a feature and a highlight?
A highlight video would be most of the videos on this website, unless they are marked otherwise. Highlights would be short cinematic videos of your wedding, usually shared on social media.
